qing ming-清明 aka tomb sweeping

Finally I learnt that tomb sweeping was not easy... and i thought it will b juz be a breeze as i never really go tomb sweeping all the way...

I was wondering why the heck i have to wake up at 5am in the morning for tomb sweeping...
how much time it will take? why so early?
It was not a pleasant start in the morning as throughout the drive to Klang... i only get mumbles and nags from dad saying how poor i am maintaining the car n how bad i am taking care of it...
I was quite blood boiled back then as i am like lack of sleep... and i was like feeling 2 shout out loud in front of dad saying, STOP with the bragging...., but luckily i didn't or else i wouldn't be blogging here now...hahaha

When we actually go to the destination then i realise why we have to wake up at 5am...
it is 3 locations where we are going as we have to pray the grandfather of my father, and his god father, and my grandfather. Two were at the klang memorial park and one at kajang....
way way far...
then the one at klang memorial park was the unexpected ones as i never went there before, not to talk about cleaning for them. The memorial park is actually look more like an abondened graveyarf as we pass by whenever we go to my grandma's place. and today i was quite shocked that i actually have relatives which "rest" at there. Both tomb look quite maintained as my father n his brother to clean them once a year and as comparison, some of the 'neighbour' around are really in bad shape.... looks deserted and some even vandalized. Then all the tools they put in the car where the spade , the parang came into use as there is a lot of weed there. I was wondering why they are brining so many things for what? After cleaning and 2 tombs at klang now come to the tough part, the kajang one.

My grandfather 'stays' at the Nirvana memorial park which are well maintained... so tools was left back at home when we be3gin to go there. As usual, there are a lot of tombs there and it look like an increase of the number of it. I was thinking , sooner or later, the land here are surely not enough to hold that many 'residents' edi, and its going 2 reach its max capacity. Then, something changed my thought when we moved into the tomb area. There were a sign there stating how benefiting it is to buy a land here as the old price at 1997 was RM5500++ and at 2007 the price of the land are 21,000++.... which trying to say that it is a very good investment to gbook one for urself before the price appreciate again. Also, there are quite a number of tomb which are built but not used yet as they are still alive. We can differentiate it with the colour of the words on the toms as Gold would indicate that this tomb has a dead man/ woman as 'resident' while the tomb with red wording for the names states that the person is still alive and building the tomb for themselves actually increases their luck, life and fortune. People would do anything for these, including 'digging their own graves' literally....hahaha...

Coming back to cleaning the tomb, the weathere was shiny and clear... and it was 12pm... so its burning hot.... real hot...and sweats dripping here and there.... However, luckily there were the umbrella service for free...(expected as the maintainance fee there not cheap) but our family was over exploiting i personally think as they set up 2 big umbrella there and yet we say its not enough and ask for another three... 2 were sufficiently enough for me... but they said more shades better can cover more of us... so juz follow the orders they gave cleanig the surroundings and plucking some of the weeds on the tomb, placing the 'moneys' n fruits.....etc. Then, one of the uncle was coming back with a bag of thing in his hand, and it turn out to be a big bag of carlsberg.... just great.... they actually enjoyed themselves woth the chilled drinks they bought while the mean time praying my grandfather. Its sort of like a mini gathering party there juz with absence of 'someone'. Also they actually bought a toyota hilux model car for grandfather. The deisgn details n picture are the same exactly, but the car itself have some changes at the names printed on the car itself. It is named HELLYOTA instead of TOYOTA; and the model for tis car was HILUX was changed to HELLUX... what a creative idea... to show that the vehicle are use in the world....lol...

Then, the journey back home was quite tiring and exhausted. Came back slept directly b4 showering....hahahaha...It was quite a memorable n nice experience though...Do wish i hv ppl visiting once a year n not deserted like the ppl at the klang memorial hill... as i am a fella who quite scare of lonliness... :p

rocking cave trip...

finally was able to go to the Dark Cave trip that was organised by the MNSM.
Actually was planning to pull out from the trip as mom was not giving the permission to go to the trip as dad was not in and there is 2 shops 2 take care off. Luckily, the fella who should hv work half day helped me out and did the job 4 full day taking the post i should hv taken at that day. So, really thank her and really need 2 belanja makan edi. At the end hurray!! Dark Cave trip here i come...

(Pic will b post later as i dun hv the pics now)
Back to the cave trip,
the e-mail that gave us instruction stated that we have to meet up at campus at 730am and would leave 745 am sharp. As i reach there i was thinking i would barely made it on time as i left my home at 720 am. As I reach, I was relieved as I saw only 10 sth ppl there, but then trouble come in as most of the people arrived but the main 'star' of the trip was not there. It was the bus. It was missing and late and made us wait like half and hour. As it reached, we were so excited that finally we are moving towards the destination, and came in the news, the bus broke down therefore we hv to switch to the other bus which is coming, and from there we finally knew why our ride was late, hence the driver was forgiven, but the funny thing is before the bus came, we were like making all the nonsense guess we were saying that the driver was juz awake as we called him.

Then, after a smooth ride from the campus, we reached our destination, Batu Cave.
Went there for few times already, yet i never realised there was a Dark Cave there.
Now, Batu Cave looks way more equipped and grand compared to the last time as a lot more structures sprung up and the HUGE golden statue of some god was built compared to my previous visits. We were having our so called breakfast(buns) before we started climbing up the stairs to the Dark Cave, and were warned to eat before climbing the stairs, as they say if we go up there on the stair with food, we would have to fight for eat as the monkeys would attack us and try to snatch the food, told from their experience.

Then, finally at step, 204, we take the turn into the entrance of Dark Cave, and the 1st thing that welcomed us was the smell of the cave. Its is not very pleasant but we became immune to it as we were briefed by the tour guides. Then, we were given a helmet each with the light on it so that we can see.(Its really pitch dark inside without light as we had a session to juz sit down n be silence with lights off...and it was real silent and those who are achluophbic, scraed of the dark would have gone mad) Then as we move in the 1st thing they introduce us on the ground was , guano aka bat poo. Then, as we moved on we saw the whole colony of cockroaches, big, small, cave and common cockroach, we saw them all and its not a few of them, its hundreds or maybe thousands of them. The tour guide was asking us, who wants to train for fear factor can just come here., and it is really scary looking at so many of them and there were some girls like shouting along that path. Luckily in the deeper part of the cave, they were not roaming there, or else some of the people would scream the lungs off.

Then, along the way towards the entrance of our adventurous part of the trip, we saw many beautiful artwork form the mother nature and learn a lot new knowledge about the items in the cave. Do you know that the stalagmite takes 50 years to make 1 cubic cm? and the stalagmite there was like so freaking huge. Also, the curtains, not the one at home, was so beautiful...speechless... but there was something that made us speechless too...all the graffiti done by the ppl previously spoilt quite some view as they wrote the famous ' I was here' or 'someone loves someone' quote at the cave wall. There are even people who destroyed the curtains stalagmite thet take ages to built on that small bit. How reckless they are.

And the best part came in, the adventurous part of the trip. Dallel(dunno its the right spelling) the tall big guy was the 1st to go into the passage and it was not an easy task for him i think as i enter into the passage, it was quite small and juz around my size with few inch wider than me. The crawl was quite scary as it is not like u can juz go through a section anyway u want but u have to really follow the instruction or else definitely can't get through. There is one part you can only get through if ur head is tilted left n cheek down on the ground.Oh ya, did i forgot to say the floor is quite moisty as it rained yesterday and there were like mud everywhere? It was quite exciting though as we really gone through many types of movement, form walking, crawling, sliding, climbing and 'snaking'.

At the end of the trip we all came out from the cave like we had juz survive some earthquake or as we were all drenched in mud and the girls hair when they took off the helmet made them look like mad woman. We took a group photo at the end of the trip and we shall compare what we look like before and after. hahaha....

It was quite an enjoyable trip and made quite a number of friends... few medic ones too... It was a real enjoyable one and i can't wait to go for the next...XD... MNSM Rocks!!!

I am a salsa dancing dad now!!!!

was planning 2 blog the entry since CNY but procrastinated till now...
many things happen was to lazy 2 say about everything tat happened... so i pick the most recetly happen lar...

there was an exhibition at monash wherethe name of it was ONE LIFE, it was a showcase of children in the poverty and who live with AIDS. but its not like the normal walk in and look at pictures and the captions.
You are given an mp3 each when you go in which will explain the story n what the kids have endure. Also, they have decoration on the scenes of what the children endure and did it well, placing all the old stuff that are hrad to find nowadays to strenghten the barrier between us an the the kids and feel what they feel. There is one part where you requested to wait for the result of your HIV test, and it really shattered one's heart when you are told you have HIV and thinking that the life was not hard enough.

Then, the part where i become dad come in, where after the exhibition, there is a world vision booth recruiting ppl to sponsor the children which in need. I met a gang of friends outside and was planning to share the money and sponsor a kid and we got a girl from India and she is real cute.
This would be her
this is dhrajanani( not sure bout the spelling), and she is now turning 4 this year,
isn't she cute? with the 2 large eyes ...hahaha...
guess what is under her favourite subject? its singing... mayb a bollywood starin future, and i will turn out to be dad of a star.... who noes...( day dreaming).....hahaha

Next, would be the monash welcome back party, its not bad fo rthe price of RM 10 only,
not the food but the performance. everyone was high till the max during the show as they are real good. Some guys and gurls was showing all the moves at the stage wand was not bad... not to mention there is superman flying here n there at the party as quite few guys was doing the sleep on the crowd and let the crowd move u thingy..(dunno whether there is a word for it)... I was
quite a noob at there as i dun really know how 2 dance. Haihz... it was a waste, there was one gurl that try to dance with me yet knowing the fact that i dun really noe how to dance made me result in juz keep a distance as i dun 1 2 embarass myself and her. How i wish i could dance with her. but now the only thing can do is juz regret.
After that , few friend was asking me to go clubbing, after the party as it was not enough. I was like want to follow, but was held back when mom say hv to go home b4 1. urgh... didn't get to go there with her... but genereally quite enjoy the nightand its good ler, as it was real high the crowd was all heated up n all are all out.

Lastly, its the latin dance workshop i went with a friend. Both of us was exposed of what is rumba and salsa. and both of us was miserabily teribble dancer at the starting of the salsa. was like lost duck when the teacjher is counting the steps. It was quite funny as 2 guys was like brining the partner no where as we don't know how to lead them. Then , when it comes to rumba, it was better although the beats are faster, the steps is easier. at the end we manage to learn the basics of both dance
hahahaa.... then we were asked whether we want to continue to learn and it will be classes taht u hv 2 pay. Registered but they hvn't give me the price of the fees that hv 2 pay, so i am not sure i am going to join or not. hopefully its not expensive and i can accomplish one of the goals i set for new year resolution.XD

That should be everything most of the things happeneing.
Also, TO DANIEL: HAPPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY....
may ur 20th bda will make u r dreams come true and all the best in ur studies and may u go paris soon.
